BELLA Magazine

On Thursday, November 29th, I attended BELLA Magazine's "Winter Wonderland" Cocktail Party. After Hurricane Sandy, the event was dedicated to the Staten Island University Hospital Employees who lost pretty much everything in the storm. 100% of the proceeds were going to be given to their families to help them rebuild their lives. I think it was an admirable gesture from those at BELLA Magazine.
The night included eating, shopping, and a fashion show - what more could you ask for? The vendors were spectacular and my hair/makeup ladies were even there! Claudia, Jessica, and all of the women from Zoe Salon. I absolutely love them and it was a great surprise to see them.
I spent the night with mom, looking at all the beautiful gifts for sale and enjoying the passed hors d'oeuvres. As always, I greeted the many familiar faces and was also able to meet some other wonderful people. I was especially excited about meeting NAM's Miss Pennsylvania Teen, Camille Schrier. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out. Congratulations, Camille, on coming in as 1st runner-up National American Miss!
The fashion show was sponsored by Diane & Co., the stars of the hit show "Jersey Couture." I have to say, these gowns were breath-taking. One after another, they gave me chills. I'm such a sucker for a great dress! I even tried on one of the gowns after the show. Who knows, maybe you'll see me in it at my next pageant ; )
BELLA raised $10,000 for the Staten Island University Hospital Employee Relief Fund. The Joseph Maffeo Foundation, which was created in memory of a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001, then matched this donation! By the end of the night, I was completely exhausted, but it was definitely worth it. Thank you, Courtenay Hall, for inviting me and my mother to be a part of this very special night. We had so much fun and look forward to seeing you in the future.
